Joel Ramirez brings two decades of racing experience on the road, tri and dirt circuits nationally and internationally with his passion to help people find their inner champion.
His quest to compete in elite endurance events has taken him from his backyard where he escaped from Alcatraz to other starting lines far and away. He won the Rain Forest Cup in Malaysia (2000). He conquered the hardest mountain bike race on the planet -La Ruta- in a multi-stage race traversing jungles and mountains cost to coast in Costa Rica (2001). Most recently, he finished with a top 20 performance in The Worlds Hardest Half- IronMan, Mexico.
Joel is Managing Director of BreakAway Performance Training Center. He directs their multisport team and also freelances as a multisport instructor for the Sports Club and Bay Club in San Francisco, teaching athletes to swim bike and run faster and smarter.
